Eco-Explorers: Nepal

For my study abroad experience at the University of Michigan I went to Nepal with a group of my fellow art and design classmates, and students interested in the environment. In Nepal, we partnered with an NGO, the Care and Development Organization of Nepal. Our main focus during the trip was to make ceramic water filters, and work on the branding and marketing of that specific company, who donated and sold water filters across Nepal. We painted a mural at a school in a remote village to promote safe drinking water, and show how to use the filters. We visited schools and taught the English-learning students songs and assisted health clinics with CDO Nepal.
